A set of fibre reinforced tread and riser cladding for a prestigious London office.
A high quality finish of a consistent set of step cladding tiles that visual ties in with the polished concrete floors.
20mm thick precast treads and risers with stainless steel grip strips were required to clad the steel main staircase at the London head office.
The finish needed to match the poured and polished floors.
A mix design was developed to give a colour match to the polished floors. This mix was also tested for strength and flexibility as being fitted onto a steel frame staircase.
The treads are an L shape curving over the front to start the top of the riser. A gap was left for the LED lighting strips before the lower riser section.
5mm stainless steel grip strips were fitted into cast in grooves after surface finishing.
