Solid visual precast stair treads for the entrance steps to the 3 Mills studio artisan gin distillery in London.
A durable set of visual concrete steps, neatly fitted with 6mm grout gaps. Coated with protective stain stop sealer. Grip strips fixed on-site.
To produce robust stair treads with and exposed flint aggregate to match poured concrete floor.
Precast designed to be steel reinforced with rebar position to avoid clashes with handrail post fixing bolts.
For accuracy, templates were produced and test fitted to identify variations in the as built structure.
Honed to expose the flint gravel and provide a grip value PTV ≥ 36 so as to match the main floor areas.
Stepped in from each recesses were cast in to take an AATI brass grip strip nosing.
Many of steps in the set had to be custom castings to cater for variations in the on-site structure.
